If you were born and brought up in the 90s, well you do know whom am talking about. Mzee Ojwang Hatari, as we all used to know him, famous for the Vitimbi comedy show. This was a must-watch show for every Kenyan household and in almost all public holidays entertaining the President. They cracked our ribs, made us fall off our seats but most of all, they united Kenyan into one.
We’ve lost a hero, a pioneer and a father of Kenyan comedy. He may have died poor but he’s left us with a rich legacy that we’ll constantly refer upon for guidance. It breaks my heart on this demise but am happy for I know you’re in a better place.
I urge the President to declare at least one day of national mourning, for Kenya has lost a great son.
