One of my proudest achievements is the day I got chartered as a Rotaractor. The experience has been one of a kind; I’ve made friends both locally and internationally, I got my current job in the bank partially because am a Rotaractor.
Rotaract has immense opportunities to get developed professionally, serve others and grow one’s networks through having fun. Last year, one of my best parties that I attended was a Rotaract bush party.
Every year, there are numerous Rotaract events and activities happening within the country, and one such is the REACT (Rotaract East Africa Impact) which is held annually, with each year in a different country among the five partner countries. Their first project was in Masaka Uganda, last year in Bujumbura, Burundi and this year it’s in Kisumu, Kenya, hosted by the Rotaract Club of Kisumu. This year’s theme “Disease Prevention & Treatment (Malaria)”
The event starts on 3rd April, with the project taking place on 4th April. Charges are US$70 (incl. accommodation for 2nights, meals, project t-shirt, and transport to and from project site). This is a great plan for the long Easter weekend, people like me who’ve never been to Kisumu is a great chance to see the lakeside city.
