#HouseofShame – Security Bill 2014 Debate

The whole world watched with shock yesterday as our beloved MPs engaged in each others’ throats over the Security Ammendment Bill debate in Parliament. I thought our “leaders” are ones who are supposed to be showing Kenyans the kind of behavior to portray in public. Honestly, I’m appalled by the turn of events though fortunately, the security bill did pass through. I really don’t know understand why CORD legislators are against this Bill; argument of infringement of Human Rights to me doesn’t hold water; every single right has a limitation and what government was actually doing is putting a limitation on those rights. If some elements think they can freely plan terrorism attacks via the mobile network just because he/she enjoys right to communicate, then we are in DEEP SHIT! Kenya has been rocked by terrorism attacks for the past two years and I bow down to President Kenyatta for taking the bold step to tackle it by the horns.

Anyway, I’m not the only angry Kenyan, other Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) went on social media to express their dissatisfaction with the MPs’ behavior….
