Lessons From A Broken Heart

Kicking off the first day of December is World Aids Day. It was established in 1988 by the World Health Organization (WHO) to bring attention to the prevalence of this disease and the importance of using protection and getting tested.

I have a close friend (Ree) who recently found out that her daughter’s father (Annd), the man that she’s known for the past 8+ years has AIDs. She found this information out from someone else, he didn’t have the decency to tell her. However, the minute he got out of prison, he was trying to have sex with her…unprotected.

No, he didn’t get the disease while he was in jail, he got it before. Ree heard rumors during the first couple of months that he was in that he caught something, but it was rumored to be Syphilis. She’s got tested for everything and she and her daughter are fine.
