Little Angels: Hanging Out With Kids of M.C.K Children Home, Meru

Over the weekend, my office travelled some 2 miles to a children home in a small village called Kaaga. The home, M.C.K Children Home caters for vulnerable, poor and street kids through a feeding program, and sponsoring them for their educational needs. The home has several centres across Meru town but where we were is the headquarters. My colleagues and I donated foodstuff to the home, as an early Christmas gift to the kids. Getting to talk to the kids, we realized some really touching stories they gave us and sad that some parents can really abandon such little beautiful angels on the streets to fed for themselves. As a branch, this was the little we could. The community had done its part through the resident Methodist church that’s situated just next to the home. From this event, I got to realize just how I love kids and this marked the best weekend in the month of November. Can’t wait to see what December has in store (apart from Xmas of course)….
